How long have you been in business?
We have been serving families in our community in the San Diego area since 1984.
What is your primary product or service?
Nurturing the giftedness in every learner through individualized supplemental educational services, i.e., 1:1 tutoring to build skills in specific subject areas, provide schoolwork support, reinforce study, test-taking, and life skills, and optimize standardized test-taking through test preparation.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Founder and President, Honore Fila, has over 30 years of teaching and counseling experience. She holds a Master's of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an Educational Therapist Certificate from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Marilyn C. Mesina, Executive Director, an educator for over 25 years, has chaired both the English and Math departments of employer schools, and has a B.S. Statistics degree and an MDE from UCLA Anderson School of Business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Working with the parents, the teachers, and other support-givers, we co-invest in each student's academic AND personal success.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Two (2) - one in Chula Vista near Bonita Vista High and Middle Schools and one in Scripps Ranch near Scripps Ranch High School.

From I-805S, take East H St. all the way to Otay Lakes Road. Left on Otay Lakes Road. Left at the second traffic light on Ridgeback Road (carwash on the corner). We're in the wooden facade building right after the carwash on your right. Suite 1 is on the ground floor.

All other times and Fridays and Saturdays, by appointment.
