The team at Rhombus designs and develops premium power conversion & energy storage control systems. We deliver the most efficient designs for the advancements in integrating energy storage, renewable sources, for on and off grid applications. We focus on renewable energy, microgrid, electric motor control, regenerative energy, and battery management and control. Power electronics and energy storage has enormously broad applications across most industries.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Rhombus Energy Solutions was formed by uniquely experienced professionals, inspired to create a superior product development team focused on designing the smartest ways to convert and control electrical energy. The unique cross-functional skills, industry experiences, and deep subject matter expertise working in a creative environment, brings our innovative power conversion solutions to life.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are simply the best in engineering power conversion systems and we hold true to our mission to help solve the world's energy challenges, by designing and deploying the most innovative and efficient power conversion, control and energy storage solutions. Unlike other companies in the industry, Rhombus delivers highly robust products, semi-customized, white-labeled solutions and offers speed to market. We create a team environment of trust and respect. We communicate openly at all levels with aligned consistency of purpose. We hire, retain, train and motivate the very best talent for the job. We have established ourselves as a global organization with our headquarters in San Diego, CA, our high power lab in Dearborn, MI and an engineering team in India. We also have strategic partnerships with large hightech manufacturing companies located in Asia and Mexico for volume cost reduction.

1). The Rhombus Battery Inverter Systems are built for energy storage and microgrid applications in on/off grid commercial and industrial customers. 2). The Rhombus Regenerative Test Equipment is built for Commercial & Industrial Power customers requiring test systems from 30kW to 500kW. Also, our engineers are continually contracted by large OEM's to design and develop their next generation power conversion systems that range from 3kW - 1000kW for customers worldwide.

Rick Sander (CEO) gets to work a couple hours before most of the team. Morning meetings are called no earlier than 9:00am PST
